FAQs

Take a moment to review the questions our prospective students ask most often.

Yes. 🙂 Our dedicated laser training branch, Allure Laser Institute, is a registered laser education school with the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Radiation Control. All graduates of our school are able to apply for certification with the state to legally operate non-ionizing / cosmetic lasers upon receipt.

Simply put, we care about your success. Our goal isn’t to push as many people through the program as possible. We genuinely want to see everyone who goes through any of our programs win. We will even provide all of the post-graduation support that you need to prove it.

Spry University is one of the few aesthetic laser education centers located within an actual retail medical spa. You’ll learn with individuals CURRENTLY in the field and use the very equipment you’ll potentially use on clients upon graduation.

Our instructors have decades of combined training and practice experience in medical and laser aesthetics.

Absolutely! We offer both on-site and distance learning courses to students across the nation. Exceptions are residents in Texas and Florida. Each of these states has their own regulatory agency, so you must attend school in that state to be eligible for certification.

Though we do not guarantee employment, each of our graduates is provided with post-graduate assistance in both job placement and business start-up.

In the state of Arizona, in order to become a cosmetic laser technician, you must 18 years of age and have graduated high school or obtained a high school diploma equivalent training.

For our health professional courses, you’ll need to be an MD, ND, DO, NP, or PA.

Anyone with a passion for helping clients look and feel their personal best is encouraged to apply.

Arizona requires that before applying for certification, that each student receive 40 hours of didactic training and a minimum of 24 hours & hands-on training for each laser modality. All of our courses comply with the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) requirements, so attending our institute will allow you to apply for certification with the state. Here at Spry University, we offer up to 136 hours of laser education, so that you feel confident in your skills.

It is not a requirement to become a licensed esthetician before attending Spry. Many of our students are new high school graduates searching for a career path.
